Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology( GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi  organized a workshop on “BAKERY” for the 2nd semester students of  BHMCT(Hotel Management). The Industry expert was invited  to address the students and share recipes of  various bakery items like:- muffins, eggless brownie, chocolate truffle and strawberry pastry . 

She  said that bakery products are becoming prominent day by day because of its taste and ease of digestion. She further said that people of all ages are fond of different bakery products  because of their taste, color, texture and presentation.  She added that any party or festival is incomplete without serving bakery products.

The second part of the session focused on the presentation skills of the Bakery item. The expert mentioned that finishing of creamy bakery items is of utmost importance for its taste and presentation. She even elaborated that time and temperature combination is  of paramount importance for baking a soft and  crunchy product. Highlighting the importance of dough and molding , she said that the base of the item should have the right consistency for a delicious baked product .

Elaborating on the growing importance of bakery as an independent domain within the hospitality industry, she advised the students to focus on exploring  bakery chef as a career option due to limited competition and massive opportunities.

Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal,  GGNIMT, motivated students to actively participate in such workshops  that not only give a practical exposure  but also enhance their technical skills.

Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT, appreciated the effort of department faculty  for organizing this very informative workshop for the students.
