A week long Winter Food Fest concluded at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology organized by Department of Hotel Management. The second and fourth semester students of the Department of Hotel Management put up food stalls for general public and college students at its campus. The Fest was based on various popular cuisines such as Chinese cuisine which included different varieties of Soups, Noodles, Fried rice and Manchurian, the Indian cuisine with veg Biryani and non veg Biryani and Pav Bhaji. The dessert stall put up included Gajar ka Halwa and Double ka Meetha. Kebab varieties such as Chicken tikka, Paneer tikka, Hara Bhara Kebab, Potato Rolls were the attraction for the final day, where around 5oo students from different colleges relished various cuisines. The students as well the visitors praised all the items on these stalls and gave valued feedbacks.
Most of these students are well trained in campus through continuous training process as well as from various reputed Hotel Brands. The students were divided into various groups as Chefs, Service team and Finance team to give them overall experience of setting up entrepreneurial ventures.
Dr.Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT, congratulated the faculty incharges and students on the success of the Winter Food Fest and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
Prof.Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT appreciated the effort of the students and said that these kind of activities will not only boost the student’s confidence level but would also enhance their entrepreneur skills.
