Sardar Jit Singh Chawla Memorial Inter-School Cultural Fiesta- MATRIX -2017


GGNIMT (Gujranwala Nanak Institute of Management & Technology , Civil lines ) organized an Inter-School Annual Fine Arts , Literary & Cultural Festival: Sardar Jit Singh Chawla Memorial Cultural Fiesta ‘Matrix 2017’at its campus
600 students from 25 schools from all across city participated in nineteen different events of the fiesta. The various events included group dance, quiz, rangoli, mehndi, essay writing, poster making, cartooning, face painting, solo dance, fancy dress, salad making, folk song, working model display, etc .

The overall trophy was bagged by GNIPS Model Town, Ludhiana while DAV Public School, BRS Nagar secured runners-up trophy.

The event witnessed brilliant and enthusiastic performances by the students who toiled hard to bag the accolades for their talents. The campus was jam-packed with creativity, passion and vibrancy.

S. Gursharan Singh Narula, President, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council was the Chief Guest during the day. In his message, he said that the students in this global competitive environment cannot survive with only bookish knowledge. They need to develop their personality through extra-curricular activities to enable them to get equipped for working in the ever demanding corporate world.

Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT urged the students to nurture their talent. He said that life today is highly competitive and only the talented cen sail through the same. “Such competitions always remain in the memory of the students”, he added. He congratulated staff and students for organizing the activity and exhorted that such competitions strengthen healthy competition spirit and urge to succeed . “Personality is not just a collection of traits, but should get recognized as a package of talent and skills apart from subject knowledge”, he advised.
S. Hardeep Singh, S. Kuljeet Singh and other esteemed members of GKEC graced the occasion with their benevolent presence.
While thanking the guests and participants, Dr. Hapreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT reminded the students that they had a big responsibility on their shoulders as the future of our country depends on them. He exhorted the students to take their studies and talent nurturing activities equally seriously.
