The Department of Hotel Management of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT) organized an industrial visit to Hotel Radisson Blu for the second semester students of   BHMCT       (Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology).The students were first made to witness a presentation about the different brands associated with MBD. They were also familiarized with the different chains of  Radisson Hotels in India .

The students were then  taken  to visit the different parts of the five star property including  .PEG bar, RED restaurant ,          MII restaurant, Cafe Delish  and  the banquet halls.

The students were amazed to see the aesthetics of the property. The visit to luxurious rooms facilitated with free high-speed, wireless Internet access , a mini-bar and a 40-inch flat-screen television was a total delight for the them. The modern culinary styles deployed at MII Restaurant  fascinated the students to the core. The presentation and service of delectable dishes from China and Southeast Asia representing the eastern Dining at RED Restaurant was a great learning experience . The students were then taken to the elegant and contemporary dining room- Café Delish, that provided carefully prepared cuisine on its buffets. The  students were mesmerized not only with the décor, but also with the grand services that the Hotel offered to its clients.

Sana, a student of BHMCT said that it was a joyous experience understanding the operations of the five star hotel. Parminder Singh, another student said that the visit helped him build an aspiration to work in such grand hotels.

Mentors Mrs. Simran Bhatia and Mr. Rohit Gill, who accompanied the students felt that the visit inspired the students to polish their skills further to get placed in big brands like Radison.

Dr. Harpreet, Principal , GGNIMT  motivated the students to participate in such activities as they provide the much needed exposure to the Hospitality industry.

Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT appreciated  the department mentors for arranging such visits as exposure to back end operations of a hotel can help the students enhance their understanding of the culture of such an Industry .
