Though, there is a common perception about job loss during pandemic period, yet many progressive companies are in human resource hunt to build on competitive advantage, said Dr Parvinder Singh, head l, Department of Business Management of GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT) situated at Ghumar Mandi while sharing the news of successful placement drives  for MBA students.
Earlier, a few students were placed in banking, retail and insurance sector organisations, three more students bagged jobs in financial and e-coaching organisations.
Nehul Goel, an MBA student got selected in Bharat Financial Inclusion-subsidiary of Indus Ind bank after a rigorous selection process.
Another student, Raghav Vij
got a lucrative offer from Vedantu, an e-coaching portal organisation with a national presence. Ramanpreet Kaur is all set to kickstart her career as Management trainee with Yes Bank.
The placement process comprised of group discussions followed by personal interviews.
The students were elated when they received the placement letters. Nehul Goel echoed the sentiment of his parents for having made a right decision of joining an MBA course. Talent will always write its own  success story, felt Ramanpreet.
They thanked their teachers and mentors at GGNIMT who trained them to platform well to secure their future in this tough time.
Even though the industry experienced significant disruptions in the hiring processes due to the ongoing pandemic, the training and placement cell made all out efforts to arrange selection processes through online mode under the leadership of Dr. Parvinder Singh. He said that good companies will always stay in search of good people and more tie ups are being made with various corporations by managing the job drives in online mode.  Earlier also many other Students at GGNIMT, Ludhiana achieved exceptional placements in varied corporate sectors & domains with diverse profiles.
Dr. S.P Singh, President, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council (GKEC) and former vice- chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Arvinder Singh, Honorary General Secretary , GKEC  praised the students for showing their enthusiasm and availing the opportunity knocking at their door steps. They also valued the remarkable effort of the concerned teachers for making it happen once again.
Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, director, GGNIMT applauded the students for their efforts and smart work invested in attaining this job and praised the hard work of the training and placement team in bringing the academia-industry interface for students.
Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT, congratulated all the students and their parents. The special emphasis on empowering these students with academic and professional skills through industry interactions make them ready with personality traits needed to get good placements in such campus drives, he said. He also added that for the students who are positive, self motivated and keen learners, there will be no dearth of jobs for them.
