As most of the organizations are facing issues with regard to providing internships to the students, a few companies are adopting opportunities in which they are asking students to pursue their internship in hybrid mode, that is, both online and offline mode. As it has become very difficult for the students to get a physical internship, Bonn Breads has recruited ten interns from GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT). The tasks assigned to them would include digital marketing and marketing research focusing on consumer preference, media habits & purchase behavior.
Ankush Malhotra, head marketing, Bonn and Nikhil, Executive (Marketing), Bonn are spearheading this initiative with the hope that the experiment to be conducted by them will be highly rewarding, both for the organization and the interns.
Dr Parvinder Singh heading Placement Cell said that the companies are looking for performing persons. Whenever economic situations are under stress, the good companies invest in human resources, he added.
Dr Harpreet Singh, principal,.GGNIMT congratulated the placement cell team and successful students. Opportunities cannot be locked down whatever be the situations for deserving people. The students getting such opportunities under given circumstances, is not an easy task, he said further.
GGNIMT is one of the institutions which has seamlessly adapted to virtual learning and interns. Sharing this perspective, Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, observed that all the leading corporations have adopted virtual mode due to lockdown. He felt it is necessary for students also to adapt to these challenges. Last year, most of our students worked with leading corporates like Bonn, Vedantu, Bharat financial inclusions, Lavya Associates and Digi Mantra, he added.
