As per the guidelines of government of Punjab where in they had made it mandatory for the students in order to attend the classes one must have at least one dose of COVID 19 vaccine, NSS wing of GGNIMT organized a COVID vaccination camp in collaboration with district administration and area counsellor Narinder Sharma at its campus for BBA, BCOM, BCA, MBA, MCA, Hotel management & BSc.Fashion Design students.
In order to comply with the government guidelines Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management &Technology organised COVID vaccination camp at their campus making it convenient for its graduate and postgraduate students to get vaccinated easily.
This camp was carried out in a phased manner where the students were informed prior and interested had to register through the Google form. The camp is open to all the students of GGNIMT who want the first dose of Covishield. The doctors from the local health department visited the institute and vaccinated more than two hundred students. Students cooperated well and got themselves vaccinated enthusiastically as they were excited to attend the classes in physical mode.
The director of the institute Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra said “We are taking all safety measures to keep our students safe. Therefore, we have arranged a free vaccination camp at our campus.”
All the norms have been maintained and followed in full spirit like maintaining social distancing, wearing masks and sanitizing the various classrooms and equipment, said Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute Of Management &Technology.
