Gujranwala Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines organized its Inter-School Cultural, Literary & Professional Activities Fiesta Sardar Jit Singh Chawla Memorial Matrix 2022 today. More than 300 students from 25 leading schools across Punjab competed in thirteen events during this mega fiesta. Some of the events were Problem solving using c/c++ , Jewel craft, Funk with junk, A walk of pride, Just2min,Declamation,Folk song (solo), What’s your story, Paper reading contest, PowerPoint presentation, Solo dance, Flower arrangement enabling the students to showcase their talent, skill and creativity.
Youngsters experimented with beads, pearls, stones and metals to create beautiful necklaces and other jewelry items. Another interesting item was creating origami patterns using napkins and other table linen. A Catwalk with a difference event ‘A walk of Pride’ enabled the students to share their videos by highlighting both the Unity & the Diversity to convey Patriotism. Participants of the event ‘PowerPoint Presentation’ delivered their presentations on varied topics like Technology: Enabler or Destructor, Startups as a game changer, Data Privacy in digital world and Robots vs Humans. Other events like Folk Song and Solo Dance enabled the students to exhibit their talent as entertainers par excellence. Dr. SP Singh, Former VC-GNDU and President, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council (GKEC), the governing body of GGMIMT, underscored the need for students to develop their personalities through a blend of extra-curricular activities and academics for success as professionals who also lead holistic lives. He congratulated GGNIMT for commemorating the memory of Sardar Jit Singh Chawla, a leading educationist and philanthropist of the region, also the former President of the Council by organizing Matrix and providing a competitive platform to the schools and their students for showcasing their talents and also competing for the honours. General Secretary GKEC congratulated the students for their enthusiasm and appreciated their positive attitude by rising above the anxieties of Covid to focus on aspiration, achievement and excellence.
