Entrepreneurship Club of GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines organized an Entrepreneurship event, Spring Fest 2022 as a commemorative tribute to India’s father of entrepreneurship Jamshetji N Tata on his birth anniversary here today. In this event Business Management, Hospitality, Computer Applications and Fashion Designing set up stalls to showcase their marketing and creative skills. Students set up stalls of multiple cuisines ranging from South Indian, Chinese, Continental and Mughlai. Fashion students displayed their own creations of fashion accessories, jewelry and also application skills like nail art, madhubani paintings and hand crafted T shirts. Business and Computer Students set up stalls of gaming and sports. Director Manjit Singh Chhabra said that the objective of organizing Spring Fest was to offer an opportunity to learn beyond books, which is a pre requisite for success in the intensely competitive world of today. Winners of the Bazaar- Business Excellence contest were Teams Masala Magic & Garam Masala of Hotel Management Department who bagged the first position. Second position was bagged by the team of Stop and Shop from Fashion and the third position was bagged by the team of Gaming Galaxy from Department of Business Management. Participants were judged on the basis of their presentation, quality, pricing and merchandising.
In order to provide a Fair like ambience multiple cultural contests like Folk Song, Solo Dance, Fun filled sports like races and a Tug of War competition was also organized. The Men’s team of BBA 6 was declared the winners after undergoing a series of tough rounds. Second prize was bagged by B.Com 6. Girls not to be left behind also participated in the event and HMCT Girls won the first prize while the PG Girls won the second prize. In the Folk Song event, first position was bagged by Paras of BBA 4, second by Satnam of BBA 2 and the third by Sarabdhian of BBA 2. In the Solo Dance competition Ashu of MCA 2 bagged the first position, Neha Kashyap of B.Com 4 won the second prize and Abhijit Singh of BBA 4 won the third position.
Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh appreciated the efforts of Entrepreneurship Club in putting up an impressive show and hoped that Spring Fest is a harbinger to their success as prospective business men. He hoped that GGNIMT students would emulate Sir Jamshetji Tata, and build their businesses not only for generating personal wealth but also for the benefit of society. President, GKEC, Dr. S.
