Greatest Challenge that Professionals are likely to face in future will be to have a Healthy Body and a Healthy Mind in  highly stressful careers that demand long working hours was the view expressed by Mr. Sanjeev Tyagi, renowned Yoga Practitioner and Trainer.  Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology, Civil Lines (GGNIMT) organised a Yoga Camp today to spread awareness amongst students about Yoga and also to encourage them to learn asanas from trained professionals. Tyagi emphasized that we need to learn Yoga for wellness and develop it as a Way of Life. He along with his team members demonstrated various techniques that facilitate breathing, aid digestion, relieve stress and ensure flexibility to reduce tiredness and pain. He exhorted students to not wait, but start right away, as we can do Yoga from anywhere, at any time at a low cost. Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal, GGNIMT  welcomed Mr.Sanjeev Tyagi and also congratulated him for initiating college students to Yoga, a panacea for a healthy lifestyle and  a balanced mind.

Prof. Manjit S Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT  asserted  that in our pursuit of aping the Western World we are ignoring our traditional healthcare and therapeutic systems. He advised the students to explore Yoga for achievement of their fitness goals as one could be both healthy and powerful without spending huge sums of money on buying expensive fitness gear or running the risk of side effects due to consumption of supplements etc., He also complimented the efforts put in by Dr. Vijay Rajan, Prof. Jagmeet Singh and Prof. Vijay Rajan for motivating the students to participate in the Yoga Camp. Vinay Tiwari of BCA , said that Camp had increased his awareness about different types of Yoga, and he was inspired to experiment on new asanas.  Saloni  from BCA was highly impressed by the fitness of trainers and took the oath of adopting Yoga as a way of life for health and a stress free lifestyle. Raghav from BBA felt  the Yoga Camp had led to a change in his perceptions about Yoga and he would include Yoga in his fitness regimen.
