Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines, organized an Expert talk on Hybrid Work Model Expectations, Challenges & Perspectives.

Over 300 participants, including students, professionals, academicians and technocrats across the globe joined to gain insights on the emerging trend of Hybrid work being adopted globally.

Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT, accorded a warm welcome to the gathering and said hybrid work or remote working will be prevalent from of economic activity that needs to be studied now. From primarily a business model for software companies, Hybrid Work has almost become norm across industries¸ not due to cost economies but as the only form of work possible,  , due to Covid 19 and enforcing  of total lockdowns both in India and globally, he added.

Agamjeet Singh Dang, COO & Managing Partner, Executive Access, New Delhi shared his insights about the concept as it is being adapted by leading global and the Indian companies in the Indian context. This model was developed out of necessity, over a period of times many organizations have either mainstreamed the model or are in the process of doing so across functional areas and geographies, he said.

Inderpreet Bindra, Internal Audit Manager, Coast Capital Savings, Vancouver, Canada deliberated on the concept in the Developed World Context. He explained the impact of Hybrid model on Indian companies, MNC’s and Start ups. He very well pointed out the pros and cons of the Hybrid workplace. He very precisely touched upon the Hybrid workplace trends.

S.B.Singh, CEO, Taaran Industries, Production & Quality Consultant and Auditor, Ludhiana addressed the concerns regarding quality, efficiency and productivity being experienced by MSMEs especially those operating in North India. He explained the practical feasibility of hybrid model of working in MSME’s. He also stressed upon the need for understanding Hybrid Work Model and how one should be prepared to handle the future situations.

Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT proposed the vote of thanks. He talked that although this model has enabled the organisations to tide over the immediate challenges of balancing revenues, costs and operations, will this model gain wider acceptability between the organisations and also their manpower due to challenges of remote working needs to be explored. In the end he thanked all the eminent speakers for their deliberations and sparing their valuable time while sharing their opinions and insights which enabled the participants to have a clearer understanding of this concept.
