Gujranwala Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines organized its annual Sardar Jit Singh Chawla Memorial  Inter School Cultural Fiesta ‘Matrix 2022’at its campus today. More than eight hundred students from twenty-six schools across Punjab participated in twenty-two events at Matrix. Some of the events that tested the mettle and competitive spirit of students were solo dance, group dance, quiz, rangoli, mehndi, essay writing, poster making, cartooning, face painting, camera tricks, just 2 minutes, salad making, folk song, working model display, what’s my story, fabric painting, best out of waste, fashion show, what’s your story.

GGNIMT Matrix featured brilliant and enthusiastic performances by the students who toiled hard to bag the prizes and claim the honours. The campus was jam-packed with creativity, passion and vibrancy. Like previous years, this year also Matrix offered an opportunity for interaction to the students to engage with their peers, and build bonds over a shared interest. The students of various schools performed outside their comfort zones during Matrix-2022 to showcase their hidden talents.

More than 90 students created beautiful rangolis. The participants explored their imagination and creativity while writing down essays on ‘World Population at 800 crore-Boon or Bane. The contestants of the event ‘Camera Tricks’ explored the GGNIMT campus to capture for their theme .The participants of the event ‘Poster Making’ created beautiful creations . Mehndi, Solo Song, Powerpoint Presentation and Paper reading attracted huge responses.

The overall trophy was bagged by  Bal Bharti Public School, Dugri. Runners up were   DAV Public School, Sarabha Nagar Extension,LDH.                  .

General Secretary, GKEC advised the students to develop their personalities through extra-curricular activities in addition to good academic performance for success in the hyper competitive world of today. Prizes to the Winners were distributed by the Chief Guest S. Arvinder Singh and the Guest of Honour S. Harsharan Singh Narula, honourable member GKEC.  Professor Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director GGNIMT thanked the School Principals and Teacher Coordinators for inspiring and mentoring their students to participate, compete and win the laurels at the fiesta. He also hoped that Matrix would be a stepping stone for many first timers and  also those with experience to continuously evolve and develop as value based successful professionals. Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh urged the students to identify and nurture their talents for success across multiple areas. He congratulated the faculty and students for organizing Matrix, a Fiesta featuring multiple events that received such an encouraging response from leading schools of the region.
