Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT)Civil Lines, Ludhiana launched its 2 day Induction Program for newly admitted MBA and MCA students.

In this Induction Program on Day 1, students were made aware about the college protocols, university regulations, clubs and forums created for the holistic development of students. Prof. Satinderjit Singh, Head Department of Computer Applications and Dr. Harminder Kaur, Head Department of Business Management discussed about the career choices available to the students after completing their programs.

Director Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra advised the students to be focused on their careers. He assured the students of total support for any initiatives taken or ideas shared for a better learning experience.

This was followed by a Goal Setting Session mentored by Ggnimt MBA Alumnus Manish Sharma, CEO Orange Cube, an organisation associated with Parental Coaching, Student Counseling and Digital Marketing. Manish motivated the students to conduct their SWOT analysis as it would help them to set up their SMART Goals that lead to holistic self development and success.

On the second day the focus was to explain the importance of career path, leadership skills, performance appraisal and self development. Mentor for this session was Ggnimt Alumnus Sumit Bhatia, Head Human Resource, Oswal Group. Bhatia emphasised on the importance of team work, continuous upgradation of skills and preparation for leadership as prerequisites for success in organisations.

Grand finale for the Induction Program was a session on Social Responsibility and Sustainable Growth by Jaskirat Singh, CEO Webrosoft, a social entrepreneur. He highlighted the role of opportunity as a pathway to success. He advocated that students should opt for live projects and internships as they simulate work experience. He also advised the students to envision the social impact of their professional decisions for sustainable growth.

Sweety an MCA student was enthused by the mentors advise to experiment and accept failures. Manbir an MBA student felt the program had helped him understand the importance of professional life cycle.

Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal Ggnimt proposed a vote of thanks to Mr. Manish Sharma, Mr. Sumit Bhatia and Mr. Jaskirat Singh for mentoring the program.
