It is important to debunk myths and misconceptions surrounding autism, emphasizing the importance of embracing neurodiversity. The problem of autism is expected to rise in the coming future. It was said by Niranjan Kumar, an expert in Autism Spectrum Disorder therapy during a session on Autism held at GGN Institute of Management and Technology situated at Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana. He explained peculiar symptoms, possible therapy treatments and awareness of autism. He gave a powerful presentation regarding language, communication and behavioral issues of autism affected people.
Each autistic children has one or the other exceptional natural talent which we need to identify and support, he added further. The event was organized under the aegis of NSS wing of the college. Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, director, GGNIMT urged the students to stay them aware and alert on such issues and provide affectionate care to autistic children. Dr. Harpreet Singh, principal, GGNIMT welcomed the guests and said that a child with autism symptoms have a right to live a normal life and possible awareness among members of the society can help in supporting the cause. The students engaged in interactive session and also asked queries related to the topic. The event concluded with a pledge to continue raising awareness and creating an inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of their neurodiversity
