Education is incomplete unless it leads to the ability to follow a career of personal passion. The students should understand the opportunity given to them during various activities like industrial visits, interaction programmes and project work. It was emphasized by Dr SB Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Taaran Industries and a reputed consultant while speaking during an impact lecture on Entrepreneurship and Innovation organised at GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), situated at Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana. The activity had been sponsored by the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of the Government of India.

Enhancement of practical aspects of the project work alongwith soft skills like time management, communication skills and personality development are the important ingredients for innovative solutions in entrepreneurship, he added.

Another speaker of the day, Nitin Jain, promoter, TAN advisor, Chandigarh and also an alumnus of the college, shared his ideas and various schemes on funding for startups. He urged the students to keep themselves updated for government schemes for financial assistance for startups. They must benefit from the initiatives of the government, he explained further.

Earlier, Prof Satinder Singh, head, department of Computer Applications and head of IIC if the college  introduced the concept of IIC of the government and said that such initiatives help generate career aims among the students.

Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, director, GGNIMT welcomed the resource persons.He motivated the students to avail the opportunity and develop an urge to be an entrepreneur instead of a job seeker.

Dr Harpreet Singh, principal, GGNIMT thanked the invited speakers for their elaborate talks on innovative solutions in entrepreneurship. Creativity is an output of a fertile mind and it is a thought whereas an innovation is taking an action on those ideas, he added. The session ended after an open house interactive session.
