A Two day workshop of CorelDRAW was organised by the Department of Fashion Design at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology , Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana. More than 50 students from different colleges participated in this workshop. During the workshop Prof. Rishita Sharma introduced the students to different tools of CorelDRAW and also explained how they could be applied for Textile and Fashion Design. These tools would enable the aspiring fashion designers to lead in the industry and create their niche for success as a professional . Professor Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director GGNIMT hoped that this workshop would have inspired the participants to pursue a career in the fashion world, as the sector offered both the opportunities for growth and professional success.
Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal GGNIMT advised the students to practice on the skills that they have learnt during the workshop to unleash their creativity.Prof. Gurleen Kaur, Head, Department of Fashion Design felt that each student gained important practical exposure about the different tools & techniques used in CorelDRAW. Niharika, a 5th Sem student felt this workshop increased her awareness about the CorelDRAW Software, and its application would help her improve her productivity and effectiveness as a Designer. Roshni and Vijeta, students from the Govtt. Polytechnic felt that this workshop was unique for them and the learnings would help them stay ahead of competition.. They hoped GGNIMT would organise more workshops related to the fashion world in future enabling them to sharpen their skills..
