In a progressive initiative towards empowering women in academia, the Department of Business Management at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology, ghumar mandi, civil lines hosted a transformative workshop titled “BYOB – Be Your Own Boss.” The session was aimed at enhancing personal effectiveness and grooming among students and faculty members.
Professor Priya Arora, Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Management, extended a warm welcome to the attendees and highlighted the significance of the workshop in fostering personal growth and empowerment.
The workshop featured Ms. Sania Azim, a distinguished youth well-being trainer and counselor, as the keynote speaker. Ms. Azim delivered an insightful session covering a wide array of topics crucial to personal development. She began by dispelling myths surrounding women’s menstruation cycles, aiming to foster a more informed and supportive environment.
Ms. Azim then delved into essential aspects of personal grooming, effective body language, and the art of good communication. Emphasizing the importance of active listening, she provided practical tips and strategies aimed at enhancing interpersonal skills and self-confidence.
Dr. Harminder Kaur, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Management, concluded the session with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Ms. Sania Azim for her enlightening presentation and to Right Side Story for organizing the workshop.
