Red Ribbon Club and NSS unit of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines organized a Dental Awareness and Check up Camp in association with BJS Dental College and Hospital. The Dental Camp was inaugurated by Councillor Ward No.71 Nandini Jerath. Also present on the occasion were Dr. S.P.Singh , President GKEC, S. Harsharan Singh Narula, Hony Gen. Secy, GKEC and member S. Hardeep Singh and S. Sukhbir Singh.
Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Head, Public Health Medicine at BJS Dental College underscored the importance of Oral Hygiene while addressing the students. She emphasized that taking care of teeth in youth would be an investment for later years. She led the team of Drs. Preetinder Singh Mokha and Dr. Gagan Pannu along with interns who profiled more than 100 students and faculty members to perform basic procedures like scaling. Dr. Kaur shared that their institution under the guidance of their Chairman Baba Anhad Singh was undertaking regular initiatives to upgrade the dental awareness of students.
Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director advised the students to prioritize on their health, especially their dental health, as their smiles were integral to their personalities. He also proposed a vote of thanks to the management of BJS Dental Hospital. Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal GGNIMT appreciated the efforts of GGNIMT’s NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club for their initiative in organizing the camp.
