There is no education which remains limited to the books, said Dr Harminder Kaur, head, department of business management of GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT) situated at Ghumar Mandi while sharing the theme of Ignite-2025, a creativity festival for MBA, BBA and BCom students. The students participated in Advertisement Acts, power point presentations and management games to upskill themselves.
The students must give significance to self-learning to increase their creativity level and must be ready to practice hard, said Dr Harpreet Singh, principal, GGNIMT while inaugurating the festival.
Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, director, GGNIMT congratulated the teachers and students for organising their event aiming at their creativity. Learning from the books is not fruitful unless the students can perform in innovative ways, he added.
The Ad-mad show where the students were expected to enact live advertisements on given product themes, was won by a team of BCom Honours fourth semester comprising Khushi, Sunaina, Payal, Akshita and Diksha. The second position was bagged by BBA second semester comprising Tarunpreet, Harshit, Milanpreet, Manpreet & Ishmeet. The third position was awarded to BBA 6th semester including Tinku verma, Shivam, Saikat, Deepak and Abhay.
Similarly, Neha Aggarwal of class BBA 4th semester bagged first position in power point presentation event followed by Mehardeep of class BBA 6th semester and team of Sonalika, Piyush and Jaspreet of class B. Com honours 4th semester won second and third prizes respectively.
More than 100 students participated in live management games to engage themselves in decision making skills.
