This means that computer programming is exceptionally important for our future as a global society. The purpose is to create a set of instructions that computers use, to perform specific operations or to exhibit desired behaviour.  Thus, looking at its importance, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology, Ghumar Mandi organized webinar on “Code Your Future: An Awareness Webinar on Importance of Coding”

Prof. Manjit S Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT welcomed the guest speaker and participants from across the world. He said computer programming is extremely important today. It may be even more impactful in the future, as computer programmers across the world work to learn new ways of communicating with machines and computers. The field will continue to grow. An effective computer programmer can be the part of research work and testing that can help in creating society driven functions.

An expert speaker, Prof. Jagmeet Singh,  Asst. Professor, GGNIMT said everyone wants to gain life skills to achieve academic, personal, and career success irrespective of their age. Coding is one skill that stands out in the modern era. He further said coding offers a boost in important life skills, socialization, learning  as well as advancing future careers. In the 21st century, fluency in coding languages give people an excellent vocabulary for interacting with the world around them. He termed coding as the new literacy. The session included interactive game development, tips and tricks for absolute beginners and what it takes for the coders to bring their artistic ideas to life.

Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT concluded the session by saying that computer programming offers a medium to communicate with the machines so we can make them function the way we need. Machines can become human’s best friend only when it will be programmed well.
