“As we gradually move into a post-COVID dispensation of a multi polar world with the power centre of the global economy shifting to Asia,  India should prioritize on economic expansion and  sustained growth to increase its influence in the global arena.” asserted Economist and Academician, Dr. Abhishek Sachan. He was sharing his views during the Webinar, “Redefining Strategies for India as a Global Leader” organized by Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines. Prof. Manjit S. Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT welcomed Dr. Abhishek Sachan and also the participants from across India. Prof. Chhabra emphasized that though the pandemic had led to a grave global economic and financial crisis with long-term structural consequences, only those economies would survive that follow a well defined path with a clear game plan. He also expressed his gratitude to Dr. S.P.Singh, President Gujranwala Khalsa Education Council (GKEC) for their guidance on the path of academic excellence being pursued by GGNIMT.

 Dr. Abhishek  Sachan, Economist and academician from PIMR, Indore emphasized that global leadership for India was possible only if  our policy makers priorities on education, increasing individual incomes and achieving high rates of economic growth by concentrating on both the MSME sector and agriculture. He asserted that though these sectors are unorganized and appear to be small individually, they are critical due to large number of people working in them. He also  advised the students to conduct their personal SWOT Analysis and also  align their personal goals with the nation’s social and economic goals.  This alignment would lead to fast track success as professionals. He also advised the students to accept the disruptions in economy due to successive covid waves as an opportunity for out of box thinking and developing new skill sets.  During the Q&A Session, Dr. Abhishek answered questions ranging from economic policy to clearing their interviews. Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Sachan, and hoped that GGNIMtians would introspect and  redefine their personal strategies to carve out a successful fast track professional career. He congratulated Prof. Ramandeeep Kaur, facilitator of the 103rd  webinar and also the participants and students for the success of the webinar.
