Department of Hotel Management , Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT) , Civil Lines organized a One- Day Workshop “ Summer Delight” for students of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road. More than 40 students participated in this workshop and imbibed the skills for making sumptuous kebabs and mocktails.Prof. Shantimani Sathwara , Head, Department of Hotel Management, GGNIMT welcomed the participants and the faculty members Prof. Rani and Prof. Priyanka. She shared her insights about employment avenues and future prospects in the hospitality sector

Chef Kaushal Gautam, Department of Hotel Management demonstrated to the students about making Hara Bhara Kebab, Galouti Kebab and Dahi ke Kebab through a live kitchen session. He guided the students about the recipe, techniques to prepare dough and answered multiple queries of students. Chavvi from class 12 Humanities cleared her queries about oil temperature while Simarjot took notes of Kebab Masala. Prof. Honey Chawla, Department of Hotel Management, GGNIMT, guided the students with the entire process of making Mocktails. He prepared Virgin Mojito and Frozen Peach Bellini live during interaction and also asked the students to taste the drinks. He also explained the right techniques for chopping fruits to enhance presentation to muddling mint leaves for extra taste. The students during the hands-on session were able to create their own kebabs and make their own drinks. One of the participants said that the workshop inspired her to explore career options in the hospitality sector. Ms. Rajni and Ms. Priyanka faculty members of DAV School expressed their gratitude to GGNIMT for conducting a very engaging and valuable workshop for the students. Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT while concluding the workshop said the workshop has been organized to enable the students to choose suitable careers by exploring different fields of study. He also inspired the students to keep themselves updated with the market demand and also on developing the right skill sets for growth in the sector Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal, GGNIMT congratulated the participants for their interactive involvement in the session and appreciated the resource persons for putting up a great show. He also appreciated the initiative of the Principal and the Faculty Members of DAV School for facilitating this workshop for their curious and eager students.
